People assume that I have taken a lot of photos of Katrina's handiwork, but I really haven't felt like it. I've experienced the complete wipe out that results from home flooding three times (not from Katrina) and taking photos of the destruction is, for me, like taking pictures at a funeral, a piece of business I usually passed on when asked by anyone but a dearest friend.
Katrina changed everything...
I've had enough people ask me about my take on post-katrina New Orleans that I have decided to begin chronicling my columns and other thoughts and experiences here on the web. Since Katrina, I've been involved in the work to remove the debris that results from almost half a million lives worth of accumulations and the walls that enclosed them.I have and probably will continue to write some of my columns on the impact of Katrina on my life and the lives of fellow New Orleanians.
